As a HALF UNITED Social Advocate, you will be joining a community of passionate, purposeful individuals who enjoy curating beauty in the world around them and want to bring awareness to global hunger alleviation. By sharing your love of HALF UNITED’s socially-good goods, you’ll be helping to create gainful employment, a consistent sales outlet around the globe, fight hunger and support ethical retail.

How are we different: Our in-house design team works with fair trade organizations, accredited manufacturing partners, and small-batch artisan made goods from around the world. We are proud to curate our product line based on the skills of expert artisans around the world and bring their talents to market showcased in our unique designs. In doing so, we are supporting the artisan’s work, livelihood, families and future while creating a unique brand of socially good goods unlike any in the market.

By sharing our products you are able to earn 20% commission on all sales tracked through personal codes that can be shared to your sphere of influence. Additionally, as a HALF UNITED Social Advocate, you will have the opportunity to get special discounts on the products you love and earn global advocate trips launching in late 2023. Adding your voice to our brand story aligns our efforts to fight hunger with every purchase and create change in the lives of many!

About

As a HALF UNITED Social Advocate,  you will be joining a community of passionate, purposeful individuals who enjoy curating beauty in the world around them and want to bring awareness to socially global hunger alleviation. You commit to being a voice of the brand by helping promote and sell our products to your community! Our advocates receive a 25% discount on personal purchases and earn 20% commission on all sales through their personal code. You also will have access to a private Facebook group where you can connect with other HALF UNITED Social Advocates, get the latest updates via a monthly Zoom call, and have opportunities to earn global trips to visit our artisans starting in late 2023. We also would love for you to join us in person at events! In joining the team, you will receive updates on opportunities to be a part of our hunger fight in areas near you and ways to earn commissions while rubbing elbows with the HALF UNITED team.

From the beginning, we’ve been on a mission to create a community that fights hunger together. As a part of the HALF UNITED Social Advocate program, you can help us grow that community as we have an even greater impact together.

Upon joining our Social Advocate team, you will receive a handbook with all of the information you will need to make getting started easy and simple! You’ll also work with our Social Advocate Program Director to onboard, answer any questions, and connect you with our private Facebook group so you can meet, link arms, and build community with other Advocates. We will provide you with a brand guide so that our voices can unite in a strong, unified, marketing way. You will have access to our Social Advocate portal where you can track your sales, codes and commissions. Lastly, we host a monthly community Zoom call for Advocates to receive updates on the latest products and sales tips. We want you to be successful and will do all we can to make sure you have what you need to help you as we work together to fight hunger!

Our Social Advocates are driven by their desire to fight hunger and provide opportunities for artisans around the globe to impact their communities. Sales experience is not required, and we are happy to train you in everything you will need to know! Our Social Advocates are encouraged to be authentically themselves as they share about our beautiful products and the impact they have. Each Social Advocate is expected to sell $250 in products/month which can be met in as little as one social media post or one product sold per month, given the product chosen, your influence and following. We will supply you with a guide to keep branding consistent as you post at least 1 post per month to 1 or more social outlets of your choice. We also expect our advocate team to participate in/watch the monthly Zoom call training so you can be up to date on the latest to keep you as successful as possible. We can’t wait to have you on the team!

As a HALF UNITED Social Advocate, you are not required to purchase product samples, nor are you permitted to carry any specific amount of inventory of any HALF UNITED product.

There are two levels of entry and each are one-time offers as you join the team: 

Social Goods Social Club Kit ($250)

- Starter kit with products valued at over $500

- 20% commissions on sales through your personal code

- 25% off personal purchases

We provide you with: 

- Team building resources

- Monthly training and education on HALF UNITED products and ways to fight hunger

- A private Facebook group community called “The Social Goods Social Club” where you have access to other HALF UNITED Social Advocates and training resources

Our teams at the home office are responsible to fulfill the orders placed.

Our home office handles all of the orders, so you don’t have to deliver products. This allows you to have the freedom to focus on your role as a part of the Social Advocate team and grow your business while fighting hunger.

Impact

Our products are from Bangladesh, Djibouti, Haiti, India, Lithuania, Mexico, Morrocco, Peru and the United States.

Yes! Starting in late 2022, we will partner with our Social Advocates on local events by using an event approval process. If approved, HALF UNITED will create the event merchandising plan and work with you to staff the event. You’ll get commission on sales minus any event fees by the hosting organization.

The #1 way to fight hunger is to address the root cause - providing gainful employment. Yes, we do use proceeds from our sales at times to directly feed people in need or in times of crisis. Yes, we do use proceeds from our sales at times to provide needed resources to our artisan partners around the world. However, the best way we fight hunger for individuals in need is to strategically partner with them to provide them work so that they can support their families. We are proud to curate our products in house based on the skills of expert artisans around the world and bring their talents to market showcased in our unique designs. In doing so, we are supporting the artisan’s work, livelihood, families and future while creating a unique brand of socially good goods unlike any in the market.

Commission

You’ll receive a 20% commission on all personal sales through your personal code. This is tracked through our Social Advocate portal.  As a part of the HALF UNITED Social Advocate team we require you to sell a minimum of $250 of merchandise per month. Commissions are paid monthly via Paypal.

No recruitment necessary but we have plans to expand in this area in the future! In the meantime, if you know of someone who would be interested in being a Social Advocate, we would love to meet them!

We want you to be excited about being a part of our Social Advocate team and be able to drive sales and create income as you join your voice with our story. We ask for an initial 6 month commitment in order to maximize both your potential and the impact your voice will offer.

We’re so glad you want to help us fight hunger! The amount of time you put in is up to you, so you’re welcome to do what’s best for your schedule. You can participate in as little as one post per month but you are welcome to post as much and as often as you want to!
