These bags are hand-crafted by male and female artisans in Haiti. We work in partnership with a local non-profit that has been working in Haiti for over 20 years, specifically focused on providing gainful employment for former orphans.
Each bag is made of leather we purchase in Haiti from a local tannery. All products are veg-tanned, meaning, they are dyed using only natural dyes and never treated with harmful chemicals. You will find natural variations in our leathers and in our sewing because just like the humans that made these bags, no two are exactly the same.
Due to the artisan-crafted production and the small-batch manufacturing process of our products, each item can have slight variations. We avoid mass production of our products to best support our partners and make the biggest impact in the world’s most vulnerable communities.
